On Tuesday, February 9, the United Front of Unions, composed of over 100 guilds, will hold a mobilization in the city of Rosario to express their rejection of the Labor Modernization project promoted by the administration of President Javier Milei. The project will be debated in the Senate on Wednesday. The march will include the country's most important unions, such as the UOM, ATE, the Oilseed Federation, and the two CTAs. It will begin at 10:00 on Plaza 25 de Mayo and conclude with a central act near noon at Plaza San Martín. This mobilization is part of a federal struggle plan that already included protests in Córdoba last week and foresees a joint march with the CGT for Wednesday in Buenos Aires, coinciding with the debate on the labor reform in Congress. Despite the broad call for participation, the CGT Regional of Rosario is reportedly not joining this specific measure, distancing itself from the local union strategy. The struggle began last Thursday in Córdoba, where the protest reached the Casa de Gobierno of the province. In addition to opposing the content of the labor reform, union leaders criticized the governors for having given the green light to the initiative during recent negotiations with the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli. In this way, they added pressure to the CGT leadership, which held a Board of Directors meeting last Friday and announced the Wednesday mobilization after the dialogue with the governors aimed at gaining their support and having them not back the reform through the legislators they control.
